One week “Training the Trainer Programme” at ATME Mysuru

A One week programme “Training the Trainer” on Aptitude, Verbal and Reasoning Skills was organized by the Department of Training and Placement, ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru from 27th to 31st January, 2020. Faculty members from various departments participated in the event.

Guest of Honour In-Charge Principal, Dr.Parthasarathy L, Professor and Head, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering addressed the participants and said it is an unique Faculty development Programme where In-House Faculty members get trained and subsequently train the students and make them industry ready. Further, he said each company has its own criteria and requirement and to cater its needs, it is the role of a Faculty member to deliver, evaluate and transform individuals so that they can get employed.

Resource Person Mr.Diwakar Ramachandra started the session on Quantitative Aptitude. Spread over 3days, he covered the topics on Percentages, Ratios and Proportions, Permutation and Combination, Profit and Loss, Alligation or Mixture, Time and Work, Speed, Time and Distance, Data Interpretation etc for about 18Hours. He explained the methods for solving the problems and reducing the time speed incorporated by students during placement drives.

In the next 2 days of the session, He covered topics on Reasoning and verbal skills and explained Analysing Arguments, Statements and Assumptions, Coded Inequalities, Blood Relationship, Order and Ranking, Synonyms & Antonyms, Reading Comprehension etc for about 12 hours. Pre and Post Training assessment Test was conducted to evaluate students.

In the valedictory, Dr.Parthasarathy L, Professor and Head, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Resource Person Mr.Diwakar Ramachandra ,Training and Placement Officer Mr.Deepak MVS, Event Coordinator Mr.Shreeshayana R were present. Certificates were distributed to the participants.
