The Job: | Resident Hostel Supervisors |
Education Qualification: | Bachelor’s degree: The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university or institute. A degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field may be preferred. |
Experience: |
Minimum 4-6 years Relevant experience: The candidate should have relevant experience in managing hostels or residential facilities, preferably in an educational institution or similar environment. Supervisory experience: Experience in supervising or managing staff, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations related to hostels or residential facilities. Customer service experience: Experience in providing customer service, addressing student needs and concerns, and maintaining a positive and inclusive living environment in a hostel or residential facility.
Skillsets: Hostel management: Strong knowledge of hostel management principles, practices, and regulations, including student admissions, room allotment, facility maintenance, security, and other related functions. Student engagement: Ability to engage with students, understand their needs, and provide support in a residential setting, including managing student activities, programs, and events. Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with students, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders regarding hostel-related matters. Conflict resolution: Ability to handle and resolve conflicts, complaints, or disciplinary issues in a fair and effective manner, while maintaining a positive and inclusive living environment for students. Team management: Leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage hostel staff, coordinate with other departments, and work with students from diverse backgrounds. Health and safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices related to hostels or residential facilities, and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and protocols. Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address operational or logistical issues related to hostel management, and develop solutions to ensure smooth and efficient operations. |
