Department of Physics

Physics is a fundamental science which is the essential requirement for engineering and technology. Cater to this, the department of physics aims at strengthening the principles and concepts of physics to ensure the optimum learning in engineering. The Department currently has fourcompetent, well qualified and dedicated teaching faculty. The department also has two supporting staff. The academic results of the students in the course reveal the quality of teaching in the department which averages above 90% in the university examinations. The department is determined in setting up a Research and Development Centre and is working towards the necessary requirements. This would provide ample of opportunities to the faculty and students to update and upgrade the current trends in the discipline. The R & D Centre intends to carry out works in the field of Materials, Nanotechnology, Tribology, and Cryo-tribology.
