“MOU with RMJ Automation Solutions and Training Pvt Ltd”

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru and RMJ Automation Solutions and Training Pvt Ltd, Mysuru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 19th August, 2017.

The objective of training is to make students competent enough to take on real time application work in the field of Industrial Automation that involves PLC, SCADA & Drives. This is intended to support students for good and greater job opportunities and also to reduce the gap between Industries and Engineering Institution.

The Industrial Automation training is split into three levels of courses in three semesters from III semester to V semester. Each course is conducted for 36 Hours in each semester.

  1. Sensors and Transducers – Level 0.
  2. PLC and its interfacing with Sensors/Transducers – Level 1.
  3. SCADA and its interfacing with PLC- Level 2.

Course Objectives:-

  1. To develop an ability to understand the basic concepts of industrial Sensors, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and their Industrial Environment.
  2. To introduce the control and automation aspects and advantages in product quality and quantity point of view.
  3. To develop an application oriented understanding amongst the students about industrial sensors, Industrial automation and control.
  4. To develop an analytical skills amongst the students about electrical systems used in power sectors and various industries.

Course Outcomes:-

  1. Students will demonstrate application specific sensor knowledge in different industrial application.
  2. Students will demonstrate ability to solve PLC Ladder logic for any industrial application for process safety interlocks and control.
  3. Students will develop industrial process SCADA screens on advanced industrial SCADA software, its linking with PLC & different sensors.

 About TPC Techno Power Corporation LLP

M/s. TPC Techno Power Corporation LLP (TPCLLP) is established in the year 2003 and counted amongst the prominent manufacturers and suppliers of a wide assortment of Transformers. It is in approval with KPTCL & ESCOM’s in Karnataka and Central Power Research Institute (CPRI). TPC offer, electrical transformers, electronic transformers, furnace transformers, power transformers, rectifier transformers, booster transformers, dry type transformers and distribution transformers

SCOPE OF THE MoU

  • Skill Development Programs: TPC to train the students of ATMECE on the emerging technologies in order to bridge the skill gap and make them industry ready.
  • Industrial Internship & Visits: Industry and Institution interaction will give an insight in to the latest developments / requirements of the industries; the TPC to permit the Faculty and Students of the ATMECE to visit its group companies and also involve in Industrial Training & Internship Programs for the ATMECE. The industrial training and internships provided to students and faculty through this association will build confidence and prepare the students to have a smooth transition from academic to working career. The TPC will provide access to its Design Centers / Workshops / Testing facilities for the hands-on training of the learners enrolled with the ATMECE
  • Faculty Development Programs: TPC to train the Faculties of ATMECE for imparting training as per the industrial requirement considering the National Occupational Standards in concerned sector, if available
  • Consultation: ATMECE agrees to provide consultation service to TPC in validating its design of transformers, product/process modification, modernization, trouble shooting, etc
  • Testing Facility: TPC agrees to establish training facility in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) to test distribution transformers and to offer technical training to the Department of EEE for testing of transformer
  • Placement of Trained Students: TPC will actively engage to help the delivery of the training and placement of students of the ATMECE into internships/jobs; and will facilitate placements
