                MOU with Toyota Kirloskar Motors

In line with its unwavering commitment to contribute to Skill India Mission, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ATME College of Engineering [ATMECE], Mysuru, Karnataka on 22nd Feb 2021. TKM through its training arm, Toyota Learning and Development India has initiated the tie-up with ATMECE. The initiative is focused on sharing Toyota’s best practices with the faculty, bridge the industry-academia gap and equip students with employable skills.

In the ever-evolving skilling needs, TKM has been at the forefront in providing ‘Lifelong Learning’ to all its stakeholders including employees to help them achieve their fullest potential. People are the most important asset at Toyota, hence developing people forms the fulcrum of the company’s philosophy. The ‘Toyota Way’ focuses on becoming better by sharpening the skills of every person and continue the quest for improvement by encouraging both incremental and breakthrough innovative thinking.

Objectives:

  1. To give exposure to Toyota’s skill practices in the real Industry environment.
  2. To train both students and faculty members.
  3. To enhance skill in the field of 
  • Lean manufacturing, 
  • Automobile technology,
  • Electric vehicles,
  • Industrial safety,
  • Environment Management System,
  • Total Quality Management,
  • Supply Chain management,
  • Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics etc.

Outcomes:

  1. Students after the completion of BE will be able to adopt to the industry environment very quickly.
  2. Student will be aware of the Industrial standards and environmental management aspects.
  3. Students will be having the knowledge of latest manufacturing systems like lean manufacturing, and latest technologies.
  4. Students will be having thorough knowledge about Quality management and its Challenges.
  5. Students will be trained in the recent developments in the field of Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics.
  6. The training of staff members also improves the quality teaching the recent advancements and developments in the technology.

 

ATME College of Engineering Signs MOU with IRIS-Mysuru

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru and IRIS (Industrial Radiographic Inspection Services), Mysuru signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Dr. L Basavaraj, Principal, ATMECE, and Mr. K T Madhusudhan, Director, IRIS, signed the MOU. The agreement was based on Training and Placement for final year students of Mechanical Department, ATMECE, Mysore. IRIS is offering ASNT Level-2 (American Society of Non Destructive Testing) certificate for trained students.

Objectives

  1. To bridge the skill gap between institute and industry and implement industry interaction.
  2. To provide Industrial Training & Exposure to students for career enhancement.
  3. To meet the institution needs. 
  4. To enhance the skill set of students in the field of Non-destructive techniques.
  5. To provide the experience of industrial working ambience.
  6. To promote advancement of research and implementation of NDT technology.
  7. To provide an experience and importance of team-work.
  8. To collaborate for possible R&D work.
  9. To fulfill academic project and internship requirements. 

Outcomes:

  1. Provides internship opputunities for student community.
  2. Provides practical and Job Oriented Sessions.
  3. 100 % Placement Assurance for all trained Students in Core Industry.
  4. In 2018-19, 10 students took training and 5 students have got placed.
  5. In 2019-20, 29 students of 7th semester have taken training.

ATME College of Engineering Signs MOU with PROLIFIC SYSTEMS and TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD

The MOU agreement was signed by Dr Basavaraj L, Principal “ATMECE, Mysore” and Mr. R Anantharaman, Associate Director “Prolific Systems and Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bangalore”. The agreement was based on Training and Placement for final year students of Mechanical Department, ATMECE, Mysore. Prolific systems is offering PGDAMS (Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Mechanical Systems) certificate for trained students.

Objectives

  1. To bridge the skill gap between institute and industry and implement industry interaction.
  2. To meet industry needs
  3. To meet the institution needs.
  4. To enhance the skill set of students in the relevant field
  5. To provide exposure on real time development.
  6. To provide the experience of industrial working ambience.
  7. To make use of the expertise of the industrial experts.
  8. To provide an experience and importance of team-work.
  9. To collaborate for possible R&D work.
  10. To fulfill academic project and internship requirements.

Outcomes:

  1. Students in the final year can do this course simultaneously and even for internship levels.
  2. Provides Full practical and Job Oriented Sessions.
  3. 100 % Placement Assurance for all trained Students in Core Industry.
  4. Having certifications from IAO, ISO and NSDC will make our certificate more valid for students.
  5. In 2017-18 academic year, 8 students of 8th semester had undergone the training and are placed in core companies in Bangalore.
  6. In 2018-19 academic year, 22 students of 7th semester have undergone training and 7 students are placed.

ATME College of Engineering Signs MOU with GTTC, Mysuru

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru and GTTC, Mysuru signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Dr. L Basavaraj, Principal, ATMECE, and Mr. K L Prakash, Deputy General Manager, on behalf of MD, GTTC, signed the MOU. The MOU is intended to bridge the skill gap existing between Institution and Industry. GTTC is a Govt. of Karnataka society recognized as a Scientific and Research Organization by the Government of India.

Objectives:

  1. Industry & Institution interaction to an insight into the talent developments / requirement of the industries to mould the students to meet tomorrows challenge.
  2. To provide Industrial Training & Exposure to students & faculties to build confidence to have smooth transmission from academic to working career
  3. Industrial visit to increase the knowledge level of students
  4. Arrangements of joint seminars from industrial professionals to share their knowledge with students & faculties.
  5. Organizing of joint meetings of industrial professionals with faculties to discuss on various topics & curriculum to incorporate requirements of present day industries.
  6. To provide support for the execution of project work to the students in the latest development / requirement of industries.
  7. Identifying & organizing need based training to students & faculties.
  8. To Co-ordinate with industries for placement of students.

Outcomes:

  1. More than 180 students from the department have attended an “A day @ GTTC” workshop which provided an exposure to different manufacturing aspects.
  2. 2 Batches of 4 students each have carried out their final year project work at GTTC, Mysuru.
  3. 13 students from the department have undergone Internship Training at GTTC, Mysuru.
  4. 4 students from the department have undergone a short term training program on AUTOCAD at GTTC, Mysuru.

ATME College of Engineering Signs MOU with CADD Centre

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru and the CADD Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 08/02/2017 to conduct Unique, Step by Step, Systematic and employable Skill Development Program for students of ATME College of Engineering towards achieving the objective of maximizing the employable opportunities for students of the College.

Outcomes:

  1. Two day FDP on “Industrial Design and Automotive Workflow” was organized at ATME College of Engineering.
