ATMECE CONDUCTED 5 DAYS NSS CAMP AT BILIGERE HUNDI VILLAGE

The NSS wing of the ATME College of Engineering, Bannur Road, Mysuru, conducted a Camp for five days at the Biligere Hundi Village, T.Narasipura Taluk, Mysuru. More than 30 students participated actively in the NSS Camp and extended a good service for the health, hygiene and welfare of the village.

The camp was inaugurated by Sri. Basavarajappa, a senior resident of the Biligere Hundi village by lightening the lamp and appreciated the venture. The NSS volunteers carried out various social activities like Plantation of saplings, Arrangement and management of a Blood donation camp along with blood donation by themselves, a Health Check-up Camp for diabetes and Blood Pressure, Cleaning of Roads surroundings of the village and cleaning of the temple and so on as day activities while during evenings, awareness speeches were arranged by eminent personalities on topics such as self-cleanliness of school students, importance of continued education after SSLC, use of Bio-fuels, Rainwater Harvesting, Bank loans, Subsidies and Insurance policies that are available for farmers, precautions to be observed for facing the 3rd wave of Covid-19.

The NSS Camp was organised by Mr. Rudresh A N, The Program Officer, along with the other faculty coordinators, Mrs. Harshitha N, Dr. Muralidhar M P, Dr. Sathish K R, Mr. Raghu, Mr. Dhananjaya and Mr. Raghavendra, with the guidance and support of Dr. L Basavaraj, Principal, ATMECE, Dr. M.S. Govindegowda Dean Academics,Dr. Rathnakar G, Dean-Student Affairs and Administrative officer Dr.Sachidananda. On the last day of the camp, a valedictory function was arranged in which Mr. Mariswamy, BEO, Mr. Ramesh, PDO, Dr. Rathnakar G, Dean-Student Affairs, ATMECE.
