Department of Mechanical Engineering
About the Department
The Department was established in 2010 with the intake of 60 students and present intake is 30 students affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The Department has a total built area of 2000 sq. m. with well-equipped laboratories and state of the art facilities in order to foster the growth of students.
The Department is recognized as Research Centre by VTU during 2015-16. The Faculties of the Department are actively involved in research and consultancy works in the areas of Composite Materials, Fracture Mechanics, Fuels & Lubricants, Energy Systems Engineering and Renewable Energy.
HOD MESSAGE:
Ever since its inception the primary goal is to train the students with high-quality education. The Department is committed to prepare the best graduates by imparting holistic teaching learning methods. The department of Mechanical Engineering aims to disseminate knowledge and technology through quality teaching, research and its application in mechanical and allied disciplines. Department houses dedicated faculties with rich educational back ground.
The department strives to inculcate the young graduates with leadership, management and technical skills. In the department faculty encourages student to take up internship, industrial visit, workshop, and seminar and involves student in various curricular and co-curricular student development activities. The department is equipped with state of the art laboratories and is upgrading with change in technology. With this I welcome you all to mechanical engineering department.
